PROJECT STATUS 

HI Georgie, Refer to plans , I have explored few options for you that we can use or to pull apart , all options work very well Architecturally but all depends on your preference and budget. Anna will print out a copy for you to pick up so you can mark-up. if you prefer we can meet at the office and discuss options for a direction . ..Note these are just my ideas looking from a different lens. I know we discussed having door for Bed 3 facing meals, we can still explore this . I have tried to keep construction minimal cost to existing and focus on the new. Opening up the house so the layout is more efficient and addresses the back garden.

 

- relocate bathroom from centre so that hallway runs through to back garden

- relocate laundry + linen storage

- 2nd toilet

- refurbishment of kitchen and open up to meal space to backgarden (ideally utilising highlight windows to capture north sun)

- reinstate original size of B2 by removing stud wall and patching up opening to B3.

- new B3

- storage

- covered deck at same floor height as inside.

-Address drainage issue. Very wet and soggy grass in winter!

 

- ensure there is enough space to extend slightly and also accomodate the future studio (where existing garage is located)

 

- Address heating and cooling in most sustainable way
